I'm excited to say I'm carrying on two challenges from 2020 into 2021 and you can join in! Click on the pictures above for more info on each challenge...
Challenge 1: Plastic Free Challenge
Challenge one is all about trying to live as plastic free as possible, especially single use plastic. After experimenting with different ideas for living with less plastic last year I'm now testing these out even more this month. Find ideas for each month of the year for reducing plastic use and in no time you'll be helping to lessen the single use plastic that has such a harmful impact on wildlife. It's not about being perfect, but just about figuring out small ways to cut down plastic use at home and while out and about. You can also join in by sharing the ideas in your stories or just trying the ideas yourself at home. By sharing ideas of how to re-think how we use plastic and recording my giving things a go I want to make the challenge fun and accessible for anyone who wants to get involved. Challenge 2: Endangered Animal Stitching Challenge
The second challenge is a stitching challenge! Every month I'll be sharing facts about an endangered animal or vulnerable species and stitching a hoop inspired by them! And I'd love you to join me! I'll be using reclaimed fabric to stitch the hoops and I'll be donating 100% of profits of my hoops sold to the World Wildlife Fund or conservation charities related directly to the animal we're stitching, to help these beautiful species out. You can join in by stitching your own embroidery inspired by the animal I share each month and tagging me or dming me and using the hashtag #endangeredanimalchallenge on instagram, if you're not on instagram, feel free to drop me an email at [email protected] so that I can share your stitching in my stories, it can be as simple or as complex as you like! If you could share some animal facts when you post that'd be awesome! Donations to WWF or other wildlife conservation organizations from the sale of your hoop are awesome but totally optional. Another way you can join is just by sharing the endangered facts about the animals I share, helping build awareness around the animals and how we can help to keep them around.
