Macro Nature Butterfly and Moth Wings
I mirror the process of macro photography in these embroideries, zooming in on the small details in butterfly wings that make up what we see, connecting us to the beauty in small details and creatures all around us. I am interested in the echos in patterns of the smallest and biggest things, some of these embroideries remind me of landscapes and space-scapes. I'm in the process of expanding into ever bigger hoops, loving the idea of making the tiniest of details visible, tactile and relatable, drawing the viewer into an immersive and connective nature experience.
